Get on Board

Events

Since 2003, Get on Board has been a one-stop-shop for passionate individuals looking to increase their civic involvement at a leadership level.

This premier community event has always been a great place to learn more about Indy’s non-profit organizations that are looking for new board members, committee members, and volunteers.

But this year is different.

The unique challenges of 2020 are causing nonprofit organizations to regroup, adapt, and pivot. Nothing about this year has been business as usual.  So, we are adapting Get on Board this year in order to keep everyone safe and healthy, and to better meet the needs of our community.

Instead of our usual one-day event that brings together hundreds of people in one space, we are providing skill development workshops throughout the month of October. Some will be focused on supporting organizations and others will focus on individuals wanting to serve in volunteer leadership roles.

We are still putting together our Get on Board 2020 Nonprofit Guide that provides information about organizations seeking volunteer leaders. We’ll post it in October and keep it on our website throughout the year as a resource for people looking for opportunities to get involved.

THANKS TO OUR EVENT PARTNERS!
