Indianapolis takes a great deal of pride in the quality of community leadership.  For a long time, volunteers have stepped up to make major moments in our city happen. From the Super Bowl to neighborhood porch parties, we’ve had amazing people leading the city, working together to solve problems.

We are building volunteer leaders. Leadership Indianapolis is trying to ensure that there knowledgeable, collaborative, connected community leaders who continue to move the city forward.

As we move forward, LI is celebrating leadership, which happens in many different ways and look very different depending upon where you are working. Leadership Indianapolis is highlighting the best and most innovative leaders who oftentimes go unnoticed.

 

Our Programs

The Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series is a prestigious ten-month program that celebrates emerging leaders and helps them gain a deeper understanding of community issues.

Opportunity Indianapolis is a two-day crash course in the issues facing the greater Indianapolis community — such as education, the arts, public safety — and the people working on them.

LEAD is designed to professionalize the soft skills that determine how well a leader, and a team, work. These skills can be learned, and honed, to help anyone become a more effective leader.

Civic Boot Camp is an introduction to community leadership for Millennials designed to help them reflect on and plan for their long-term goals for serving
